Encryption platform we use for end-to-end encryption

All end-to-end encryption is done via Red Bull E-Mail Protection Service Platform that supports S/MIME, PGP/OpenPGP and a secure Webmail Fallback - the platform can be found on securemail.redbull.com.

How to send us an S/MIME encrypted E-mail (End-to-End Encryption on Mail Object Layer)

For sending us an encrypted E-mail you need the public key (certificate) of your Red Bull contact first.

1. How to receive the certificate (including public encryption key) of your Red Bull contact?

There are two possibilities to receive the certificate of the intended Red Bull recipient:

  • a)Red Bull employee sends you a signed E-mail and you can extract the corresponding certificate
  • If you Red Bull contact sends you a signed E-mail you can extract the corresponding certificate in Outlook directly or alternatively if your company uses a Enterprise Encryption Gateway it will be likewise extracted automatically.

  • b)Retrieving the public key via the securemail.redbull.com portal
  • You can also directly request the public key of your Red Bull contact via the Red Bull E-Mail Protection Platform . This is especially important if you want to send even the initial communication with your Red Bull contact in encrypted form.
Click on Request Public key and input your E-mail address and the E-mail address of you Red Bull contact.
(Attention: You will only receive an E-mail with the corresponding key if the Red Bull User exists and has a public key assigned)

If keys were found it will be acknowledged.

The public keys of you Red Bull contact will be sent to you via signed E-mail.

2. Trust the certificate if necessary and map it to your addressbook

If you company uses a centralized E-mail encryption gateway, this steps will be probably done for you automatically. Otherwise you have to do the steps in your E-mail client.

For detailed information how to extract a certificate and import into Outlook see the following Guide: "SMIME Key Exchange with Red Bull - Manually Extract a Certificate. "
